On behalf of our Model United Nations (MUN) Secretariat, I am pleased to welcome you to the sixth annual MUN conference at the British International School of Houston (BISHMUN) on November 6th and 7th, 2026. My name is Alexandra Schade, and I am honored to serve as your Secretary-General.
Over the years, we have seen delegates and chairs grow in many ways, whether joining for the first time or returning. Our innovative committees challenge participants to collaboratively find diplomatic resolutions to current international issues. Debating with respect and empathy opens their minds and develops lifelong leadership skills beyond the classroom, such as quick and critical thinking, extemporaneous speaking, and executive excellence.

At BISHMUN, students from across the Greater Houston Area step into the roles of delegates and world leaders in various UN bodies, joining together to debate the most pressing issues of our time.
